Should Emfenac-P be taken with food
As a general rule for aceclofenac-containing tablets, taking the dose with food or immediately after a meal is preferred. Food does not switch off the risk of stomach irritation, but it softens the immediate contact of an NSAID with an empty stomach lining and many patients tolerate the medicine better this way.
A plain meal is fine. There is no need for anything special, though a very spicy or very oily meal may itself upset the stomach and confuse the picture if you are trying to judge how the medicine suits you.
