Good options are an interior cupboard or a drawer in the coolest room, away from direct sunlight and away from any appliance that gives off heat. A closed steel or plastic box inside that cupboard adds a second barrier against humid air.
Places to avoid include the kitchen shelf above the stove, the bathroom cabinet, a window sill, the top of a refrigerator, and the dashboard or glove box of a car.
