Pregnancy and breastfeeding precautions
This is the most important warning on the pack. When pregnancy is detected, telmisartan should be discontinued as soon as possible, because medicines acting on the renin angiotensin system can injure and even cause the death of a developing foetus when used during the second and third trimesters.
If you are of child bearing age, tell your doctor before starting Cilomni-T 10/40 and again if you plan a pregnancy, so an alternative can be arranged in advance. Breastfeeding mothers should also seek advice, since other options are usually preferred while nursing. Never continue the tablet quietly and hope for the right outcome.
Kidney, liver and older patients

Food, alcohol and daily habits
Grapefruit and grapefruit juice can slow the breakdown of calcium channel blockers and increase their effect, so they are better avoided. Very salty food, pickles, papads and packaged snacks work against the medicine and are worth cutting back.
Alcohol widens vessels of its own accord and can add to dizziness, particularly in the first weeks or after a dose change. If you drink, tell your doctor honestly how much.
