How to Store Gluomni M1 Tablets in Indian Weather

The pack says Gluomni M1 Metformin Hydrochloride SR and Glimepiride Tablets IP should be stored in a cool, dry and dark place, protected from light. The caution also asks that the medicine be kept out of reach of children.

In plain terms that means a shaded shelf or a cupboard inside the house, at normal room temperature, away from direct sunlight and away from any source of steam or damp. There is no instruction to refrigerate, and putting tablets in the fridge is not helpful because condensation forms on the strip each time it comes out.

Keep the tablets in their original carton. The carton adds a layer of protection from light and keeps the batch number, manufacturing date and expiry together with the strips.
